The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) believe that small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) are missing out on online business beceause of fear of e-crime, reports itpro.

FSB home-affairs spokesman David Croucher-Jones scommented:

"E-crime needs to be given the same status as crime that is committed against a bricks and mortar business. Only when this is accomplished, by implementing the Lords [Science and Technology Committee] recommendations, can more small businesses benefit from having a stronger online presence."
