Austrian filmaker Manu Luksch has just completed her latest work, created entirely from CCTV footage. Ms Luksch collected public CCTV footage of herself using the Data Protection Act (DPA)and bloked out the faces of everyone else who appears.
Making the film revealed a shocking ignorance of the DPA on the part of many CCTV controllers,
"My requests were more often than not replied to in an inadequate or uninformed way - the controllers had clearly not heard of the Data Protection Act."
A number of organisations also attempted charge way above the standard fee of GBP 10 for releasing the footage.
Ms Luksch describes the film as a futuristic "science fiction fairy tale".
