A man who threw GBP 5000 out of his car window before driving off has finally explained his action, reports icWales.
Timothy Lewis appeared in court charged with dangerous driving during the same incident and explained why he had acted in such an extraordinary manner. Mr Lewis said, "The money was left to me by a very good friend. I didn't want the money - I wanted my friend back. That's all I want to say about it." He also apologised for any distress he may have caused bystanders.
Mr Lewis was ordered to pay GBP 600 costs and given a year-long community service order. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
