Worker awarded £16,500 after boss spies on her with CCTV

A Stockport woman has won £16,500 in an out-of-court settlement for sexual discrimination and constructive dismissal after her boss used CCTV to spy on her, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Heather Harrop described how her tormentor sent her unwanted text messages and left gifts outside her house: "It was horrible and creepy, I felt constantly at edge in the workplace. I even felt threatened in my home."

She said the final straw came when she discovered a CCTV camera, linked to her boss’s office, trained on her desk.
