Mosquito is essentially a sounder unit that emits a very high (ultra-sonic) tone that is completely harmless, even with long term use.
This is very unlikely and research has shown that the majority of people over the age of 25, have lost the ability to hear at this frequency range. It should be borne in mind however, that the unit usually has the desired effect in moving crowds away within just a few minutes. So even if you are able to hear the noise to some degree, you will not have to put up with it for long.
The unit has been designed to be easily fitted - as easy as fitting an exterior spotlight - and is supplied with comprehensive instructions. An approved, trained installer should not take more than 1 hour to complete the installation.
The Mosquito is housed in a custom designed, tough vandal resistant metal casing and is consequently very strong. We recommend the unit is mounted at least 2.5 metres high to reduce the risk of vandalism.
